Manzanillo!

Place: Located in Colima, Mexico. It is just a beautiful sight! Seeing the ocean's waves hitting the people's face and the smelling the great Mexican foods. It has multiple views and is such a tourist attraction to people that are looking to have some fun. Its a great way to bond with the family, have a party or just to have fun in life! I really recommend this playa, beach, to go and spend some summer time with the family.

My Story: I remember it like it was just yesterday, the summer of 2011 is a memory that I will never forget! Being with my family and getting that opportunity  that not everyone has, to go spend great time with them at the beautiful beach. It was also my little brother's first time going to a beach and seeing the big waves. We had a lot of fun, we spent a week there and the days went by so fast I couldn't believe it. Some day I will go back, with my family and have a lot of fun with and remember how much I had fun when i was a young one.

Why I Choose This Place: The reason I choose this place to talk about in my blog because it brings back a lot of wonderful memories. You can see all the little kids shouting and jumping, the parents talking, drinking and tanning! the waves rising, the sun setting and the stores closing. It is just an amazing place to stay if your in mexico for the vacation and you can learn some Spanish on your way there! The workers are really nice to you, the rooms are great and the restaurants around there are really good, especially the taco.

Place : Netherlands 

Netherlands  is located in Europe . Netherlands  is a place that has everything you can imagine for, For example it has museums shopping malls, water parks,and gardens Etc. Its more funner when you go out with the family because its that time when you have a bond with the family which makes it exciting and joyful. So many tourist have a wonderful time in this country because its old and classic.
 

My Story :
I've been to the Netherlands about 5 times in my whole life and it never gets old for me."Calssy Never Gets Old" they say.  Whenever I travel to the Netherlands I always travel with my family  all the time.I also have tons of family who lives in the Netherlands which makes it more better because they know the place very well since they live there, they show me the exotic place of Netherlands. 


Why I Choose this Place:

I choose to write about this place because I really love going hear to be honest. It is really nice to experience new culture and different environment eventhough iv'e been hear about 5 times. Its a really nice place and my family always like to travel hear. I chose this country because i really like the cheese they make and also i love the weather and there beaches are amazing.

Shandar Park

1. Shandar park is a place at Kurdistan. It is a place where you can have fun with family and friends. Shandar park is a popular park at kurdistan because allot of people go there to have a huge picnic with relatives and dance,walk around, children on rides screaming!. Its basically a place to enjoy and have fun. It is kind of like people in America would like to go to Mall and hang out. Also another thing i would want to share is that when it comes to our holiday for example one would be Newroz it would be really hectic during that holiday because that holiday describes our country.

My Story:

  2.   When I went back to Kurdistan at 2005, I remember I went on the rides with my cousin and they would tell me all the good food. For example, the ice cream., Delicious Kabob, Tabouleh salad.. This food would be out on the street during midnight and would have music on. I just can't forget all these joyful memories i had with my relatives. Also, the great Zesty kurdish food.
Why I Chose this Place??
3.   I chose this location because when i went back at 2005, I mostly hang out at this park Shandar park and had lots of fun with my family. I Also, choose this place because I can't forget the fun memories and all the great food they had back at Kurdistan.

La Puerta del Diablo

 

La Puerta del Diablo.

La Puerta del Diablo is a place near San Salvador, El Salvador. It's a place where mystic stairs trap you. It's a place where an antique door awaits to be find. It's a place where energetic young teenagers try to conquer. It's a place where mist on trees cover them with drops of water. It's a place where a magic key is being hide.



The first time I went to visit The Devil's Door was when I was eight years old. It was during during spring break and my mom had decided that my brother and I were old enough to try to get to the top of it. It was really exciting and I loved it! However at the end I was exhausted, but the beautiful view was worth it.

The reason I chose this place was because during my first trip to La Puerta del Diablo I saw a Torogoz. The national bird of El Salvador, it's extremely rare to see one in the open like in La Puerta del Diablo. I also chose this place because it's one of my favorites from my childhood.

Cerro Santa Ana

Place: Cerro Santa Ana is located north of Guayaquil, Ecuador near the Guayas river and traditional the neighborhood Las Peñas. There is over 400 stairs and each one has a number. At the top of the hill, you can see most of the city and their colorful houses. It is surrounded with stores and galleries of Ecuadorian’s artist.

My Story:  Since I was little almost all he time when my cousins who live in another city comes to Guayaquil, will go to El Cerro Santa Ana. We had a lot of fun by doing races so we can see who was the fastest. When we reached the top we were tired already but we still enjoyed the view, seeing all the houses really small and feeling the breeze touching our faces.

Why I Choose This Place: I chose this place because it represents the history of Guayaquil which is my home city. It is a beautiful place to go and have a nice time with your family. The view of the city is really pretty due to the colorful houses. It also brings me beautiful memories of my childhood together with my relatives back in Ecuador.

 

 

El Malecon 2000

   Place 

El Malecon 2000 is located in Guayaquil, Ecuador. El Malecon 2000 is a place that has gardens, fountains, shopping malls, restaurants, IMAX, bars and food courts.  It is really nice when you go for a walk with your family and have some fun. El Malecon 2000 is really big. A lot of tourist go to there. Sometimes events are held there or artists goes there to perform. 




My Story 

When I was in Ecuador I used to go there with my family every time I didn't have school or when my family from other city came to visit us. Every time I went to El Malecon 2000,the thing I enjoyed then most was when I visited the gardens and fountains. I enjoyed feeding the fishes. I remember that there were pretty and colorful fishes. 


Why I Choose this Place

I choose to write about this place because I really love going there. It is really nice to walk all El Malecon to the end. At night is really beautiful to walk because there are a lot of lights and it makes it really shiny. I enjoy the wind that and the breeze that comes when I walk at night. 


        

Potala Palace

Place:

     Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet, which the Dalai Lama used to live. Its has all the Tibetan ancient history that Tibetan used, so you can see all the stories and ancients weapons, clothes, Tibetan tradition throne where Dalai Lama used to sit and give lectures to people.It's a place where you can really feel or see Tibetan cultures and history. The Potala Palace in 361' (110 m) tall and named after Mount Potalaka.

My story:

     Since I was 7 years old I have always wanted to go to the city and visit the Potala Palace because My mother told me about Potala Palace when I was 7 years old. I have always wanted to go and visit the Potala Palace because I knew that I would learn more about my own culture and history. Six years later when I was 13 my uncle came back to our village to visit us. When he was leaving tomorrow to city he asked my family if he could take me with him to the city. My family agreed. I went to the city and the first things that my uncle did the next morning we got to the city was, he took me to see the Potala Palace. Inside the Potala Palace there were are lot of Tibetan history and cultures that I have never heard before. By going to there with my uncle, I learned a lot more about my own culture and history.

Why I chose this place:

     I chose this place because it is the Greatest Monument in Tibet. Tibetan Monks and some people build the Palace by their own hands and its structure were in ancient Tibetan cultures. It's always busy because people from all around the world comes and visit the palace. There will always be Tibetan people wanting to go in and see how Tibetan used to be when Dalai Lama was living in there. Even most of the Tibetan people could go in and visit only 2 to 3 times because it's always busy and have a very long lines.

Ella Fitzgerald

Ella Fitzgerald 

     Ella Fitzgerald was also known as the “Queen of Jazz” or “Lady of Song” or “Lady Ella”. She was born in April 25, 1917 and died June 15, 1996. What got Ella Fitzgerald staring singing was when her mother, before dying do to natural causes a heart attack, she would bring her records from other artist. She would spent hours listen to the voices of the singers and try to imitated them. After her mother died she lived with her aunt however it didn't work out and she ended up homeless. However that didn't stop her from her passion and started singing at Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY.

     

    After performing at Apollo Theater, she won the chance to perform for a week with Tiny Brad show. From that moment on she became famous for her singing and was offer to start in many movies, became an actress, and TV programs as an special guest appearance with Jack Webb’s, and Warner Brothers. She won 13 Grammy Awards, and many other acknowledgements. Also she won many Gold Metals for Arts.

    I choose this person because I had heard about her before a television program during the Black History Month on Disney Channel and Discovery Channel. When I started reading about the “Queen of Jazz” I found out how much she had struggle with her career. Not because she was homeless or wasn't talented enough but because during her time the Civil Right Movement was barely begging. She went through the Civil Right Revolution, but what I found more meaningful is how she assumed her career and was full of determination. 

Yalong Bay

Place: Yalong Bay is located in Hainan, China. Where Chinese people go to vacation and relax after busy life or work. Where the place you can see multiple color people play in the blue water; where the white cloud dances in the sky; where the hot sand massage your back.
                                                                                                

Story: One time, I dreamed that I in Yalong Bay for a family vacation. I saw so many people that from different country. I went out there talk to them and play volleyball with them, it was very interesting. I loved to swimming this beach, the water was not hot or cool, it was perfect. I loved to lying down the sand and a beautiful lady massaged my back. I would love to go there in person and to enjoy a good feeling relax. Reality is better than dreaming.


 

Why I chose this place: I chose this place because it a haven for watersports warriors like me who sometimes ride uncrowded waves all day.

Yalong Bay is also the pinnacle of the resort getaway. This is a beautiful place that for family or group of friend to relax and have fun vacation.

Chapultepec park

Place:Chapultepec park is located in Mexico City.It is also called the "Bosque de Chapultepec" (Chapultepec forest) it is call like this because it is centered on a rock formation. Chapultepec is the largest city park in the Western Hemisphere. Chapultepec has nine museums, amusement parks, winding paths, sculptures, lakes and fountains.

My story: When I was six years old I would use to go Chapultepec with my family. I remember seeing different kinds of bird species in the trees. We would mostly go to the zoo, I liked seeing all different kinds of animals. I also remember riding riding the canoes with my dad while enjoying the sunny day and the calm water.

Why I choose this place:I choose to write about Chapultepec because it's an amazing park. I really liked going there because the fountains, the amusement parks, the winding paths,the sculptures and the lakes make it beautiful. Chapultepec is a place to relax with your family and enjoy nature.

James Brown

James Brown was born was born in May 3,1993. He was a famous musician  songwriter, dancer, band leader and record person. James brown touring shows were the most popular productions in American popular music. He died on Christmas day because of heart failure in 2006.
    James was dedicated to Rock and Roll, he got the privilege to be in the hall of fame in 2000. James Brown was one of the founders of Funk figure of 20th c. In his bad he had three guitarists, two bass guitar players and two drummers. He was also the influence of Michel Jackson. James Brown father taught him to play the harmonica at a young age interested James in having his own band.

            I choose to write about James brown because he was a multitask er. He kept himself organize organize while being a bad leader, record person, songwriter  dancer and a musician. I admire him for being in the hall of fame. 

Arashiyama

-PLACE-

Arashiyama is a place that is located in Kyoto, Japan. It is a park where you can see the Japanese maple trees colored like a sunset; where you can hear the bamboos whistle on the soft wind. Place where you can feel the bright sunlight stream in through the thin gap of trees. Place where the song of a bush warbler echoes.

-MY STORY-

My favorite moment is in autumn, when all the leaves are dyed in red, orange, and brown. I have visited Arashiyama when I was in 5th grade, and I was very moved by the beautiful sight. But it was also disappointing to me because there were so many crowds everywhere.

-WHY I HAVE CHOSEN THIS PLACE-

I chose this place because it's a very famous place in Japan, and I wanted to introduce how beautiful the nature is in Japan. Arashiyama looks very different in each season. For example, in spring, cherry blossom dyes the atmosphere pink, and in autumn, it dyes in orange by the tinted autumnal leaves.

Micheal Jackson was born on August 29,1958 Gary,Indiana,USA. He died on June 25th, 2009 at  Los Angeles. He was an American singer,songwriter,dancer. Also, a music producer. He was a rich and legend guy. 

Micheal Jackson had so many awards which were the world music award. Hollywood walk of fame, He also had the rock and roll, Hall of fame. He had many accomplishments because he was a very intelligent guy.Another interesting thing about Micheal Jackson was that For beauty purposes and to live longer, Michael Jackson used to sleep in an oxygen tent. But  he later donated the bed to a Californian medical center as a therapeutic aid for burn victims He had been influenced by the work of musicians such as Diana Ross because he wanted to be exactly like her and wanted to sing like her, Dance like her. Diana Ross helped Micheal Jackson to feel confident and told him that one day he can sing like her and dance very good. He also trusted Diana Ross because he said  She is the kind of person, I can tell her anything, the most private of secrets.

I choose to write about Micheal Jackson because of his great accomplishments as an African American  singer and dancer. He had a really good voice and has influenced so many people in the world. Also, Micheal Jackson was really creative.

Louis Armstrong born in New Orleans, Louisiana in Aug. 04 1901. He was a bass singer and he was a foundational in jazz. He inventive trumpet and cornet player. Louis ended his career in 1960s. He died in July 6,1971 in New York City.

The rock and roll hall of fame recorded Armstrong’s West End Blues in 1928. Louis Armstrong  award of male vocal performance in 1964. Louis awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1972. Armstrong’s songs had inducted eleven time Grammy hall of fame. Louis inducted eight time inductions and honors in 1952-2007.

I chose Louis Armstrong because he was a hardworking person before his became famous. And every time when I am sad, I will listen to one of my favorite song What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. This song always made me feel calm down and relax for a bad day.

Michelle Obama was born on January 17, 1964. Her parents taught how to read at home, at the age of four she was able to read. While entering into school, the teachers decided to put her right into second grade, she skipped kindergarten and first grade because he was to advance on her learning compared to kids her age. She attended a high school for gifted  students. Here she took many advanced classes. When it was time to go to college, she chose to study at Princeton University to follow her brother’s steps. After some time, she moved to Harvard University. She got her law license, and began to work at a law firm in Chicago. While working, she met Barak Obama, her future husband. They married in 1992 and now they have two beautiful daughters.

After Michelle’s husband became the president of the United States, She has accomplished many goals as the first lady. She encourages many families to take action on their children’s health  and education. She also made a program to make people aware of the issues many Americans and people around the world are facing due to poverty.         

I chose Michelle Obama because she is a great woman whose parents weren’t rich but they tried to work hard so their kids could have a better education. Michelle Obama is also a great example for women and many African Americans. She worked hard, using her intelligence to get to be a lawyer. Michael Jackson, The King of Pop, was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, India, USA. He is no longer alive; he died on June 25, 2009 at the age of fifty in Los Angeles, California. He was a famous singer/songwriter, dancer, entertainer, actor, music producer, and much more beyond what you expect. He was also known for being the most successful entertainer, other than The King of Pop.

Jackson had a lot maybe even tons of accomplishments, good and also known for his bad things he did like any other famous person. Some accomplishments included being able to popularize a number of dances like the robot and the moonwalk. He also was a huge inspiration for a number of artists. Overall, Jackson was a great artists and it was even estimated that he sold over 400 million records. But like every other artist, he hits a point where the bad things that he did come out to the world and everyone find out. For one, he was accused and found guilty of Child Sex abuse. Eventually drugs came into play and as a result he ends up over dosing. That was the cause and the reason to why he died and no longer with us today.

I chose this person because he was so good at what he did and so many people loved him and his work. He inspired millions all around the world, including me. I guess money all the money; fame and fortune got to him causing him to stress and using the drugs and ending up dead.

Michael Jackson was born in August 29, 1958 in Gary. He was the 8th child in his family. He died in June 25, 2009 because of misused medication. He had three children in life but he adopted and raised many kids. He slowly changed his skin color from black to white. He was an American dancer, song writer, singer, actor, musician, entertainer, music producer, choreographer and businessman. He became the King of Pop.

 Michael Jackson was the King of Pop. He was very talented even when was young. In 1987, his new album Thriller broke the world record. He was very famous for all over the world not just in one or two countries. When he dance all the people would go crazy and especially the girl. Many ambulance would line up when he dances because girls and women would faint. In 1982 a bad things happened. His hair got caught on fire while filming a commercial. In 1996, he secretly had two children with his secretary and also got married secretly. Later, in 2002 he had his third child. Michael Jackson was awarded so many time for his talent. For example: He was awarded 46 times for American music award, 86 times for Billboard award, and 17 times for BRIT award. He was also awarded for many others. Most of his song were number one hit in the UK and US for long times.  One of the most famous or important part was he created a new dance move call moonwalk, which became very famous all over the world. 

I chose to write and search more about Michael Jackson because he was the first person who really inspire me. In tibet, I didn't know any famous person that is not chinese or tibetan in my life, but I knew Michael Jackson because my friend knew him and they told me about him a little bit. Later my friends showed me some of Michael Jackson songs and dances. I really like how he dances and he is one of my favorite singer, dancer and musician in the world.
